I have always used the upside-down method - but removing the bike computer is obviously a necessity. As seems evident in the tutorial, putting down a piece of fabric or a rug will prevent any wear on the seat. I find this very beneficial in checking the brake and wheel alignment. As per the Commenting Rules, I proudly wear a moustache. Everyone knows that the best riders sport a 'stache.

Hi Doug: I like the tire change tutorial, except the part about putting the bike upside down.
Doing so can sratch and damage your bike computer plus it can sratch your seat and
shifter levers. I recommend laying the bike on the side with the chain side up.
